GBRF WATER QUALITY - LAND HUB UPDATE

WELCOME TO THE FINAL EDITION OF OUR LAND HUB PROJECT NEWSLETTER.

The LAND HUB Projects are part of the Mackay Whitsunday, Lower Herbert and Tully

Johnstone Water Quality Programs, funded by the partnership between the Australian

Government’s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, designed to improve

water quality flowing off the land to the Great Barrier Reef by reducing the runoff of

dissolved inorganic nitrogen.

Across the three regions, our projects have delivered an enduring reduction in DIN run

off of almost 35 tonnes.

Participating growers across the projects are now all starting to realise productivity

and profitability improvements from implementing their optimised Nutrient

Management Plans, underpinned by the LAND HUB data platform. Three growers

share their stories below.
